This event will kick off April as Month of the Young Child celebrated by the Southwest Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children – Dayton Chapter in collaboration with Dayton Children’s and the Dayton Metro Library. It is an annual celebration celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers and families. This year’s theme is Children’s Opportunities—Our Responsibilities. The MOYC highlights the importance of families, early childhood professional, and communities working together to support every child’s healthy development and early learning. Locally MOYC is celebrated while nationally the Week of the Young Child is April 8-12 by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
