Vick Mickunas, host of WYSO’s Book Nook, will interview author Mark Bernstein about his recently re-released book, Grand Eccentrics: Turning the Century: Dayton and the Inventing of America.  Bernstein will discuss how the innovation and collaborative spirit of great Daytonians led to an age of industry which still shapes our lives today. Bernstein will have his book available for purchase and autographing after the program.

Writing Basics with Author Tim Waggoner

Author Tim Waggoner will teach the basics of fiction writing in this interactive writing session. Learn the steps to outline your plot, discover ways to develop your characters, and explore how to bring your words to life on the page. Please register in advance. 

Tim Waggoner has published close to forty novels and three collections of short stories. He writes original dark fantasy and horror, as well as media tie-ins, and his articles on writing have appeared in numerous publications. In 2017 he added the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in Long Fiction to his long list of literary awards.
