Mound Builders and Village Dwellers

Over the last 2,000 years, southern Ohio’s prehistoric occupants left their mark on the landscape, ranging from large earthen constructions to villages that housed hundreds of people.  Andy Sawyer from SunWatch talks about the mound building efforts of the people we call the Hopewell, and SunWatch Indian Village which provides evidence of the first intensive farmers of the middle Ohio River valley region.
