Learn how government policies reinforce personal racism through discussion of Supreme Court Cases, Restrictive Covenants including local examples, and the development of blockbusting and contract systems. Also discussed will be the socio-political fall out including White Flight and the deterioration and ghettoization of African American neighborhoods with a focus on Dayton, OH and on tax driven systems. This facilitated discussion led by Faheem Curtis-Khidr, History Professor at Sinclair Community College, and offered in partnership with the Montgomery County ADAMHS Board, will help illuminate the Undesign the Redline exhibit hosted at the Dayton Metro Library from August 6-September 25.
