Stay & Make here at the Library! Learn all about the chemistry of making slime!  This fun program will complement this month's theme. Take & Make Kits are available while supplies last, but you won't need a kit to participate in this program.

Dance to the music with Burkhardt's very own Zumba instructor!  Zumba is a high energy workout inspired by Hip Hop, Latin, Salsa and more.  Wear comfortable clothes.  Program may be outside, weather permitting.  For grades 7-12.

Penguins are among the most beloved animals at WAVE Foundation at Newport Aquarium. In our African Penguin program, we will bring one of our penguin ambassadors to you, where you will enjoy an up close and personal encounter with a penguin! During this presentation, participants will learn about these incredible animals, including their natural history, geography, diet, predators, and WAVE Foundation’s research and conservation initiatives. At the close of this approximately 60-minute experience, you will have a greater understanding and appreciation of these remarkable birds!

Join other teens for some water balloon fun in Burkhardt's new outdoor terrace!  Bring a change of clothes or a towel because you will get wet.  For Grades 7-12.

If you like anime or manga, join the AniManga club. We will meet on Thursdays to watch and discuss anime. Snacks provided. For grades 7-12.

Teens in grades 7-12 will work in small teams to follow three simple recipes to build food prep and cooking skills to create a tasty meal. Gluten Free and Vegan options are available. Please note any dietary needs, including allergies, in your registration.  Food preparation is part of the program and knives will be used. In addition to registration, a waiver must be completed in order to use the knives. A paper waiver is also available upon request. Please complete waiver and then return to this page to complete registration.

Watch a spooky movie ‐ we'll supply the popcorn and candy! Weather permitting we will have the movie outside on the terrace.  Dress for the weather. For grades 7-12.
