Learn about our watershed, history, aquifer, rivers, and our global responsibility with a virtual tour of the University of Dayton River Institute’s RiverMobile.  Learn about concepts and local geography that connect to the Dayton Metro Library's May Take & Make kit. For Grades 1 - 6.  Please register in advance.

Watercolor Resist Virtual Class

A Virtual Program
Join local watercolor instructor Renee Hopson to learn how to create a watercolor resist using the Dayton Metro Library's May Take & Make kit for teens.  If you didn't pick up a kit, you can still join us for this session.  You will need a basic water color set, a few crayons, and some watercolor paper.  Resist, is used to explain the process of wax repelling water. We will use this process to create abstract patterns, underwater scenes, or a painting with a message. First we will draw with crayons - then use watercolor paints to add depth, texture, ombre fades and interest to our paintings. All while learning some basic watercolor techniques like; washes, blending and layering.  Please register in advance.
